Description
Maine architect John Calvin Stevens had commissions to make alterations and renovations to the Poland Spring House in 1909.
The hotel, part of the Poland Spring resort, opened in 1876. After various additions and remodelings, it could hold up to 500 visitors.
The Poland Spring House was up-to-date and luxurious.
