Description
Though poorly trimmed, this composite photograph shows the extensive approach fill for the Lubec-Campobello bridge. The 20-plus foot Bay of Fundy tide was quite low at the hour of these photographs, for substantial height of the temporary trestlework is visible. Written on the rear of the card mount, probably in the hand of the photographer, is the date August 20, 1961. Two other unidentified hands wrote, “Uncle Mac took these With his Polaroid & Put them together” and “These may be worth something some day. Ronald MacDonald (Uncle Mac) married to Evelyn Hodgson’s sister Helen took these. ”
