Description
Francis M. Danielson of Portland took this daguerreotype portrait of an unidentified woman.
On the back of the daguerreotype case, a label advertises ”Colby’s / Daguerreotype Room / No. 130 Middle Street, Portland / Rooms are the most extensive, and best arranged in the (city) / (pi)ctures taken at the Establishment are warranted not to fa(de) / (particular attention paid to taking pictures of Children, also of (?) / persons. Pictures taken equally well in cloudy as in ( ?) / er. F. M. Danielson, operator.”
Danielson also worked in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
