Description
North Lubec factory workers from “Factory A” of the Lubec Sardine Co. is shown here. The arrow points to John William West (1884-1979), a native of Coles Island, New Brunswick. Records show that John was in Lubec in 1899 and married Helen Grace Price in Eastport in 1904. He and his wife Helen raised 16 children. The two little boys in the center of the front row, indicated by a straight line underneath, are West’s nephews, Howard and Bill Fowlie.
