Description
Methodists in East Deering in Portland held their first services in 1883 and organized a church in 1889. They began building the church structure in July 1907.
The Washington Avenue Methodist Church was dedicated in 1909.
The church was raised and a vestry, kitchen and two other rooms added underneath between 1912 and 1915.
