Description
Lieut. Com. A.D. D'Almeida, Philemon, member of the Portuguese Legation at Washington at the Maine Centennial celebration in 1920.
The crew and band from the ship San Gabriel of the Republic of Portugal participated in the Centennial events in Portland, including the parade on July 5, 1920. An article about the Portuguese participation in the Maine Centennial appeared on the front page of the Evening Express, June 26, 1920.
