Description
The Maine Centennial parade, on July 5th 1920, started with the "Parade of Horribles and Antiques". Marchers dressed in costumes or carried antiques, and competed for prizes. This couple combined motifs by wearing masks, plus an old clock around the woman's neck.
Three judges awarded prizes for categories such as Best Couple, Most Original Costume, and Funniest Female.
