Description
Franklin E. Lawry, Co. G, 27th Maine Infantry; Isaac Pray, and Robert Cutts Gunnison, seated at bottom center, are veterans of the American Civil War. The photo was taken August 27, 1932, at Traip Academy in Kittery. The occasion is uncertain.
Also in the photograph are veterans of the Spanish-American War and World War I.
Lawry enlisted in the nine-month regiment on Sept. 30, 1862 and was mustered out July 17, 1863. He was a private.
Isaac H. M. Pray may served in Co. K of the 13th New Hampshire Regiment. Robert Gunnison enlisted in the 1st New Hampshire Heavy Artillery Co. on July 18, 1863 and was mustered out on Sept. 11. 1865.
Both Pray and Gunnison later lived in Kittery.
