Description
This cottage at 35 Oak Street was built about 1848 in the Gothic Revival style and was the first house in this section running from Pool Street to Acorn Street. Because of its name "Oak Grove Cottage", shown on a map of 1850, it is thought that the house originally stood in, or near, a grove of oak trees.
