Description
Built about 1788 by Captain Israel Lassell who married Abigail Hill of Biddeford in that year. Captain Lassell had come from Arundel (now Kennebunkport) where his grandfather had settled in 1723. In Biddeford, Captain Lassell was a prominent citizen for many years. After he died the house is known to have been occupied by the Ward family for more than one hundred years.
