Description
Postcard photograph of newly constructed American Can Company. The plant replaced the North Lubec facility which burned. The company manufactured two-piece, drawn cans for Lubec's sardine packing industry and, at one time, employed over 200 workers. Note sardine workers' cabins in the background.
Message on the front of the card reads: "Full view of the new can plant at Lubec and they are still building more on it since the one at North Lubec was burnt."
