Description
Margaret Bailey, great granddaughter of Hattie Reynolds Thayer, wrote: "This house, located at 57 Main Street, was built for Hattie Reynolds Thayer after the death of her husband Daniel. It was paid for with funds she received as the widow of a disabled Civil War veteran. The house was built in the 1880s. Hattie is pictured standing in the front yard. She was born in 1849 and died in 1912. After her death the house was sold to my paternal grandparents. I lived there from 1950 to 1962."
