Description
George T. Goldthwaite composed the words and music to "Shine on Portland High," which was published in 1914 by Cressey & Allen of Portland.
On the back of the sheet music is "Wearers of the Blue," or a section of it, also by Goldthwaite, copyrighted in 1912.
Goldthwaite also wrote songs about Deering High School in Portland.
George Goldthwaite, a native of Massachusetts, was the music director at Portland High School in the 1910s. He later moved to New Hampshire.
