Description
Helen Barrows, the daughter of Willard and Harriet Barrows of Portland, posed as Madonna and Child Enthroned, a painting by Giotti (ca. 1266-1337).
Twenty-nine members of First Parish Church dressed as noted paintings and posed during an "Exhibition of Pictures" at the Portland church on Dec. 15, 1923.
Accompanying the "portraits" were historical discussions and music.
