Description
Alphonso A. Lord, a native of Canada and resident of Brewer, published "Take Me Back to Maine."
Lord, who had worked as a barber, wrote the words and music of the song about the desire to go "to that dear old State of Maine" to see a sweetheart "who was then just seventeen."
