Description
Approaching completion is the 56-foot sardine carrier Chester L. Pike. The wheelhouse appears to be finished. It will contain controls for a 275 H.P. Cummins diesel which will be installed at Southwest Harbor. The boat was named for Chester L. Pike, father of Frank A. Pike, owner of the Seaboard Packing Company which commissioned the new vessel.
