Description
No additional details are available for this severely faded photograph. A horizontal drying rack and a barrel are on the nearby shore, and a house, farm buildings and automobile on the distant shore. The U.S. Coast Guard opened its station on West Quoddy Head in 1917, and as this used post card is postmarked in October 1917 that determines the year of this image.
