Description
The Stenographers' Group of the Portland Business and Professional Women's Club held a picnic at a group members' house in South Portland. They also played miniature golf as part of the outing.
The BPW club had subgroups of women in particular occupations. The organization, a chapter of the National Federation of BPW Clubs, promoted the interests of business women, encouraged and supported young women to go into careers, and offered professional support and social activities for its members.
