Description
W. L. Alfred painted the merchant ship Grace Davis, showing her in Dunkirk, France, in 1879.
Hutchins and Stubbs shipyard of Yarmouth built the vessel, named for Grace Davis of Portland, in September 1873.
She sailed out of Portland for W.S. Jordan and Company with Horace F. Davis as first master.
