Description
Woodrow Lenax Palmer (1913-1981), a native of Berlin, N.H., who lived in Lovell, wore this dress hat in the World War II era.
A graduate of the University of Maine, Palmer was in the 303rd Field Artillery as part of the Harbor Defenses of Portland. He also served in the 240th Coast Artillery Corps, the Quartermaster Corps, and the Maine National Guard.
