Description
Robert P. Dunlap (1794-1859), who lived his entire life in Brunswick, was governor of Maine from 1834 to 1838.
A graduate of Bowdoin College, he served in the Maine House from 1821-1822 and the Senate from 1824-1828.
He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1843 and served four years.
