Description
Old Orchard's largest hotel was the Old Orchard House. It was built in 1876 for Ebenezer Staples, and paid for by his son. Tall church spires in Portland and Mount Washington could be seen from the roof of the hotel. This hotel did escape the great fire of 1907.
