Description
This fine photograph proudly displays what appears to be the latest firefighting acquisition. No expert has yet identified the truck, but the searchlamp and siren mounted in front of the steering wheel resemble those used by Ford/American LaFrance vehicles. The firehouse was apparently in use until a new combined firehouse and town hall was built in 1979 at School and Pleasant Streets. Thie old building still stands as of 2011, located behind the Arsenault house at 14 Main Street with which it shares a driveway.
