Description
Charles H. Parlin of Skowhegan was 25 when he enlisted in Co. K of the 16th Maine Infantry on August 11, 1862.
Parlin was appointed commissary sergeant. He became a full 2nd Lieutenant in November 1864.
He was mustered out on June 5, 1865 at Arlington Heights, Virginia.
He returned to Maine after the war and worked as a produce broker. He later moved to Florida.
