Description
The Dunn auditorium is on the Good Will campus on the east side of the Kennebec River and was built for speakers and programs at the summer “Assemblies” held for Good Will children and the public. The “Assemblies” started in the early 1890s and continued until 1912. In 1915 George Walter Hinckley used the Dunn Auditorium for summer services, but after that time it was not used regularly and fell into decline. The Dunn Auditorium was torn down in 1923.
One notable speaker at the Assemblies was Gen Joshua Chamberlain who spoke on July 27, 1902.
