Description
Left to Right: Lowell Norton, of Vernon Street, grew up to earn his Ph.D as a labor economist and lectured at Harvard, and had several honor degrees; Lucy Hill Thornton attended University of Maine at Farmington, and later became principal of an elementary school in Malden, Massachusetts; Marie Lawrence attended Gray's Business School in Portland; Helen Lawrence graduated from Thornton Academy in 1914, attended University of Maine at Farmington 1916-1917, and later graduated from Tufts University in 1943.
