Prescott Laundry card, Old Orchard, ca. 1880

Description

Mrs. Hannah Shattuck Cook Prescott operated a laundry on Cascade Road in Old Orchard. She was married to Francis S. Prescott.

Her three sons, Alpheus, 21; Prescott, 19; and E. Wallace, 18, all joined Co. A of the 27th Maine Infantry in September 1862.

Alpheus and Prescott served until July 1863 and Wallace served for three years.
