Description
The Maine Centennial, held in Portland from June 28-July 5, 1920, hosted a Passamaquoddy and Penobscot Indian encampment at Deering Oaks Park. Wabananki people demonstrated the creation of art and crafts and sold them during the event.
This photograph was on page nine of the Thursday, July 1, 1920 issue of the Portland Evening Express.
