Description
A portrait of George Scamman with his signature. Scamman was born in 1787 in Saco, and was Edith Scamman's grandfather. He died in 1869 leaving his father's house to his son, Henry C. Scamman, which Edith would eventually inherit and bequeath to Thornton Academy.
