Description
Following up on two previous letters, George W. Hinckley, founder and general supervisor of the Good Will Home Association in Hinckley, wrote to artist Mildred Burrage of Kennebunkport (1890-1983) about her donation of a painting, "On the Maine Coast."
Hinckley (1853-1950) apologized for misunderstanding her suggestions of where it should be hung and asking her whether she would prefer it in one of the girls' cottages or in the school.
Burrage had visited the school and farm for needy children before sending the painting.
