Description
Noted portrait and landscape painter Charles Octavius Cole, who worked in Portland in the 1840s and 1850s, painted this portrait of Olive Libby McKenney of Portland, the wife of flour dealer Eleazer McKenney.
Cole also painted a portrait of her husband. On back of frame is written "[Olive] Libby M Eleazer McKenney Nov 3 1828." The date is that of their marriage.
