Eleazer McKenney, Portland, 1855

Description

Eleazer McKenney (1802-1873) of Portland was a grocery merchant and later worked in the flour trade. McKenney was the director of the National Traders Bank.

He and his wife, Olive Libby McKenney (1809-1888) had their portraits painted by noted artist Charles Octavius Cole.

The couple married in 1828.
