Contributed by Congregation Shaarey Tphiloh
Description
A committee of members of Congregation Shaarey Tphiloh in Portland reported on a hearing they held about a member of the Board of Directors, Abraham Rodman, who had been charged by David Abramson, another member, with conduct unbecoming a director.
The committee found him guilty and recommended that he make a public apology.
The report was signed by William Goodman, Jacob Citrin, Myer Ross and chair of the committee, Julius Greenstein.
The incident was relatively minor. Members of the congregation could turn to the synagogue to resolve disputes and bring reconciliation.
