Description
A card announces the weekend celebration for the installation of Rabbi Morris Bekritsky at Congregation Shaarey Tphiloh in Portland in 1948 when it was at its height.
Bekritsky initiated a weekly Sunday morning radio program, "Hear O Israel." He also led the congregation in installing a new ark at the synagogue on Newbury Street and later building a new synagogue on Noyes Street.
He was the congregation's rabbi until 1971.
