Description
Shaarey Tphiloh, Etz Chaim and Anshe Sphard synagogues sent an invitation to the installation into the Portland Rabbinate of Rabbi Morris Bekritsky.
He was installed as the rabbi of Shaarey Tphiloh on February 15, 1948.
He led the Orthodox synagogue for several decades through a period of growth, including the move to a new synagogue on Noyes Street. He left Portland in 1971.
