Description
The old Lubec telegraph office appears in the center of this Kodachrome slide, with Lubec Seafoods, once the Morshee Superette and in earlier times the Herb May blacksmith shop to the left. On the right is the building which housed the Lubec Herald newspaper at its demise in 1956. All these buildings on the east side of Water Street are gone, except for the Western Auto Store, barely visible at the far left, earlier Stuart Hardware and as of 2011 Annabell’s Pub.
