Description
A croquis of an evening dress from the Paris fashion house Lucile, 11 Rue de Penthievre, includes fabric swatches. Lucile was an innovative design house that appealed to wealthy women. It was one of the "better" fashion houses, one step below the most elite.
Written on the drawing is "Lovely evening dress & coat for night church-wedding (pink or pale green."
Artist Mildred Burrage of Kennebunkport had a number of Paris fashion line drawings among her possessions.
