Description
Martin T. V. Bowman (1838-1901) of Hallowell was a corporal in Co. C of the 1st Maine Cavalry. He was 24 when he enlisted on Oct. 20, 1861.
He was promoted to 1st lieutenant and commissary of the regiment in February 1864.
