Description
The Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor was formed in Maine around 1880. At a state convention of YPSCE held in Bangor in 1892 Richard Foss, at trustee of Good Will Home, proposed that the society build a cottage at Good Will to be known as Christian Endeavor. The idea was taken up with enthusiasm, and money for the cottage began trickling in, starting with 10 cents in September 1892. Christian Endeavor Cottage was dedicated on August 31, 1894.
