Description
John Ford, who grew up in the Irish section of Portland, was a famous movie director.
Born Sean Aloysius O'Fearna in Portland, he was a football player at Portland High School. His nickname was "Bull."
Later he worked as an usher in the Peaks Island movie theater. Though his stage name was John Ford, he signed all his legal documents "Sean Feeney."
