Description
Built by the New England Shipbuilding Company for the International Steamboat Company in Bath, this wooden steam-powered side-wheel vessel traveled the "inside" coastal line of Boston, Bangor, and Mount Desert, with occasional trips to St. John, New Brunswick.
The "State of Maine" plied the Atlantic coast until 1924.
