Description

Waterville was an important hub of railway transportation for all of Maine. Four lines came into Waterville, from Bangor, Lewiston, Augusta, and Skowhegan. The constant coming and going of trains necessitated a roundhouse to coordinate the busy schedule of the Waterville station, pictured here around 1900.
