Description
When they contributed to Waterville's industry in the form of water power for manufacturing, rivers and streams in Waterville were quite useful. This was not always, however, the case. In this image, the Messalonskee Stream has overflown its banks and flooded boathouses on the shoreline. Colby College, among others, kept boathouses on the Messalonskee.
