Description
Waterville's Main Street, the western side of which is pictured here in the early 1900s, was very different before the influx of technology now normal in today's world. Horses and their carts brought people and goods to and from Main Street, where people could shop for bicycles, get them repaired, have clothes laundered, visit a music shop, or buy ice cream. The trolley cable and tracks indicate that people used that mode of transportation to get to and from Main Street as well.
