Description
During the summer months Sarah Farmer's Green Acre school and the Monsalvat School for Comparative Study of Religions held meetings and talks under the tents on the Green Acre property at the turn of the 19th century in Eliot, Maine. A peace flag was designed and hoisted to proclaim the founder's vision for humanity. Sarah Farmer said, "In looking for an emblem we wanted something that would be a call to everybody--and we felt that the message that had been brought to the world by Prophet after Prophet was the message of Peace."
