Description
Clam digging is done along the beaches of Maine during mid to low tide. Clam rakes pierce the sand and pry up the clams lying just beneath the surface.
This etching can be found on page 133 from the book 'The Pine-tree Coast' by Samuel Adams Drake, Boston, Estes & Laurent, 1891.
