Description
Rendall Tolman Gammon (1838-1864), a native of Mechanic Falls, was living in East Abington, Mass., when he enlisted in Co. G of the 12th Massachusetts Infantry on March 8, 1863. He was 24 years old.
Gammon transferred to Co. H of the 39th Massachusetts Infantry on June 25, 1864.
He died in the Confederate prison at Salisbury, North Carolina, on Nov. 16, 1864.
