Description
This postcard shows the Pepperell boarding house at the corner of Pearl and Lincoln streets. The boarding-house was 420 ft. long and had 256 rooms. The rooms were rented by farm girls who came to work in the Pepperell Mills. The cost of their rent was deducted from their paychecks, and there was an extra charge of 25 cents for the use of the bath facillity.
