Description
Heliotype or collotype from the book 'Summer days Down East,' by M.F.Sweetser, published in Portland,by the Chisholm Brothers in 1883, p. 63.
The large home in the background at the upper right on Mount Pleasant Avenue was known in the early 1940s as the "haunted house." The building later became a plastics factory that burned to the ground.
