Description

Lubec’s Main Street crosses the lower right corner of this photograph. The three prominent residences, statting with the closest, are the George McCurdy house, at 29 Main Street the Doris Pike White house (later owned by Judith P. Sulzberger) and the Mahlman house at 27 Main. The house on the opposite side with a roof ladder is 28 Main Street. All these remain as of 2011. Campobello Island is visible in the background across Cobscook Bay. The view is from the belfry of the Congregational Church.

This photograph is #7 in a series of twelve taken from the church belfry to represent a 360 degree view of Lubec around 1950.
